Making-of

Everything you can see and hear in Holographium and on this website has been designed and developed by me. With some exceptions:

The awesome Monster Soup artwork by Kieffer Bros.. 2 of the 50 interface sound effects come from the Logic Studio library (modified). It's awesome.

Tools and equipment used for visual design:
Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe Illustrator CS5, Luxology modo 401 and 501 on Windows and Mac, Autodesk Sketchbook Pro. Rendering was done on a self-built dual CPU 8-core render workstation which rendered more than 1 week non-stop for the 3D-animated demo video included in Holographium.

Tools and equipment used for sound design:
Apple Logic Pro 9, mostly ESX24 and ES2, Soundtrack Pro 3, Garage Band, Audacity 1.3 and afconvert. I used an audio-technica AT2020 cardioid condensor studio microphone to record mechanical sound samples with low self-noise in a home-built (cheap) recording studio at night, and an ION Key 49 MIDI keyboard to synthesize robotic servo motors with a combination of programmable software instruments, as well as the melodies of some feedback sounds. Then I used tons of effect plugins to polish the sounds for awesome quality. I took sound design training lessons for three weeks just for one effect.

Tools used for motion graphics:
Luxology modo 501, Adobe After Effects CS5, Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.

Tools used for development:
Xcode 3.2.6, Xcode 4.2, Instruments, and lots of paper to sketch flowcharts and diagrams.

Photography equipment:
Sony R1, Canon EOS 60D, a tripod and a Phillips Living Colors LED lamp for colored scene illumination.

Why is it for Sale?

Because I don't have the marketing power to spread the word. But maybe YOU have it.

If you run a photography-related company or just want to have a really cool product, Holographium may be what you're looking for.
